New Online Application Procedure will take effect from 1 February 2011
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Luanda will start using the Norwegian Application Portal as of 1 February 2011. Visa or residence permit for Norway should now register their application, pay the application fee online and book an appointment on the secure online application portal before submitting their supporting documents at the Embassy.
The new application procedure will result in the following advantages:
- Applicant or sponsor can register online, from anywhere and the portal is open24/7
- The registration is only done once. For subsequent application, all text boxes are already filled in. It is only necessary to fill in new information such as travel dates, etc.
- Payment is online and can be done quick and easy by Visa or MasterCard - Portal applicants do not have to queue up at the Embassy.
- Portal applications will be given priority - approx. 5 days processing time
- Applicant can check online the status of their applications.
Paper applications can still be handed over at the Embassy. However, this type of procedures will not be given priority and will take approx 15-20 working days processing time.
Please note that online visa registration is not available for applicant coming from the Norwegian General Consulates in Brazzaville and Libreville
Booking : Prior booking of appointment must be done online. This must be done prior to coming to the Embassy to hand in their supporting documents.
