The Norwegian Embassy has renewed its cooperation with the Centre for Studies and Scientific investigation of the Catholic University in Angola (CEIC) NOK 4.5 million (USD 800.000). The support is covering the period 2008-2010 and is a general financial support to the annual budget of CEIC.
The purpose of the support is to build national capacity in key areas of public policy research, formulation and evaluation, foster public debate on important policy issues by publication of research findings and studies, and to assist the Catholic University of Angola in reaching its full research and teaching capaity by promoting research activities by th euniversity staff an by establishing links with other research institutions.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Noelma Viewgas de Abreu, Dirctor of CEIC and Lise Stensrud, Chargè d’Affaires of the Norwegian Embassy in Luanda.
