The Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs of the Norwegian National Assembly (Stortinget) will visit Angola from 17.-20. September. The delegation consists of 10 persons. It is lead by Mr. Olav Akselsen, chair of the committee, and accompanied by the Norwegian Ambassador to Angola H.E Arild R. Øyen.
The delegation will be received by the President of the National Assembly, Dr. Roberto Victor de Almeida. The Norwegian delegation will during the visit, meet with the Commission of Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Governor of Luanda and the Ombudsman for Justice. The delegation will further pay a visit to Kilamba Kiaxi and Development Workshop to see a micro credit project financed with funding from Norway.
The delegation will also visit Norwegian companies with activities in Angola, particularly in the Petroleum sector, and meet with the Norwegian community.
